Tokyo, February 9, 2026 – Today Celsys announced the winners of the 46th International Illustration Contest. This contest was held from December 12, 2025, to January 5, 2026, on the theme of “Cats”, receiving 6,736 entries from all over the world. After careful judging, 15 entrants were selected as prize winners, while 15 entrants were randomly selected to receive license gifts.

Comment from the Winner: The Wheel of Fortune is a cycle, the unchanging aspects of existence...as whenever you're feeding your cat, their impatience will make them run around you just like a wheel! It's a tribute to my dear friends Léo and Mélo and their beautiful cats, to whom I'm always grateful.

There were also many entries for the Timelapse Award, where contestants can submit a timelapse video of their process. Winners of the Timelapse Award were selected by lottery and received an activation code for Clip Studio Paint PRO. Meanwhile, five illustration category entrants were selected at random for the Challenger Award, and five entries drawn with a smartphone were selected for the Smartphone Award. The winner of the Illustration Grand Prize receives US$2,000.
Celsys, the developer and distributor of the illustration, comic, webtoon, and animation app Clip Studio Paint, regularly holds illustration contests open worldwide, and will continue to offer more opportunities for creators to showcase their talents.

Captivated by the canned cat food, these adorable cats cannot defy fate, just like the meaning of the tarot card. Their innocent exuberance is portrayed in a playful, endearing way, with expressions like they’re getting head scritches.
