Celsys’ drawing app Clip Studio Paint has been officially adopted at South Korea's largest professional educational institution for Webtoon and digital content creation, YLAB ACADEMY.
YLAB ACADEMY is South Korea's first and largest educational institution specializing in Webtoon and digital content creation with a student body of 300, founded by the major Korean Webtoon studio YLAB Corporation. It is known as a gateway to success for debut, producing many professional authors.
Clip Studio Paint is widely used by companies and educational institutions around the world, and has become a de-facto standard particularly in the growing global Webtoon industry. By actively supporting the creation and development of the next generation of creators through the integration of Clip Studio Paint in educational settings in Korea and around the world, we aim to further increase brand awareness and expand our user base.

Out of the many graphic tools available, Clip Studio Paint is the most optimized for creating Webtoons and illustrations. As well as affordable implementation costs, it offers a range of innovative features that enhance efficiency. Another deciding factor was the app’s constant improvement, with regular updates that reflect user feedback.
Because Clip Studio Paint has so many features, some students who are new to it can find it challenging. However, once they learn it through our lectures, they seem very satisfied with the useful tools and the professional results. We’ve seen a very positive response overall. Many students expressed an interest in using the app for their personal art too, and we’ve had inquiries about the purchase options and versions.

The Webtoon market is expected to continue growing worldwide, at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 30.5%, forecast to reach US$36.33 billion by 2030.(*1) As home to the birthplace of Webtoons, the Korean government and the Korea Creative Content Agency have been providing generous support since 2022 to encourage the further overseas development of Webtoons.
