Celsys supports Google's initiative to improve the user experience on large screen Android devices, and is working with them to optimize the functionality of its applications for large screen devices to improve the creative environment on Android tablets and laptops.

As a result of these efforts, Clip Studio Paint, the app for illustrations, comics, webtoons, and animation developed and distributed by Celsys, was introduced as an example of an app optimized for large screen Android devices at Google's annual developer conference, Google I/O, held in May 2026. The number of Clip Studio Paint subscribers on the Android platform continues to grow at a high rate of 174% (*1) over the previous year. Through this initiative, Celsys supports creators around the world who are active on the Android platform and continues to expand its userbase.

Clip Studio Paint is a powerful creative app for illustrations, comics, and animations, built upon over 30 years of in-house graphics technology R&D from Celsys. The app is available in 11 languages and is used by more than 60 million people(*2) around the world, with over 80% of its users residing outside Japan.
