CELSYS, Inc. (the “Company”) released the latest July 2026 update of the illustration, comic, webtoon, and animation app, Clip Studio Paint, worldwide on July 28. This is the latest feature update for subscribers (*1). The new features in this update will be included in future perpetual license versions.
The Company is focusing on retention of subscribing users under the SaaS model by releasing new functions for subscribers multiple times a year to promptly respond to user needs, in addition to a major version upgrade once a year. The churn rate has remained consistently low, averaging less than 5.0%, thanks to consistent usership encouraged through periodic updates (*2).
This July update includes improvements to usability and performance on Android, new editing filters that allow younger users to easily change the vibe of their creations, more options for recording videos of the creative process to share on social media, and enhancements to 3D models. All the new features are designed to support users’ creative endeavors even more.
