Celsys has entered into a License on Transfer Agreement (LOT Agreement) with Intel Corporation ("Intel”) as of July 4, 2025.
Celsys' strength lies in graphics technology, conducting research and development for in-house technology for more than 30 years. One such technology is the illustration, comics, webtoon and animation app Clip Studio Paint, now used by over 50 million creators* worldwide, of which 80% are outside Japan. Compatible with a wide range of devices, the app offers a smooth creative environment for creators of all skill levels, from beginners to professional comic artists and animators.
Since its foundation, Celsys has grown together with creators by providing unique know-how and technology. In terms of intellectual property strategy, Celsys positions its development as an asset that directly enhances corporate value, and has acquired several patents in the creative field in Japan and abroad, actively working to obtain intellectual property rights.
This collaboration with Intel, one of the world's leading semiconductor manufacturers with a vast number of patents, is expected to reduce the risk of improper enforcement by Non-Practicing Entities (NPEs) in the future. This will enhance the security and stability of our intellectual property.
