Digital Services Act Transparency Report
~Transparency Disclosure under the Digital Services Act (DSA) ~

1. Introduction

This transparency report ("Report") is published by CELSYS, Inc. ("Celsys") annually in relation to Clip Studio Profile, Clip Studio Assets, Clip Studio Ask, Clip Studio Tips, and Clip Studio Share ("Clip Studio Services"), and Clip Studio Cloud Service . The Report is published in accordance with the transparency reporting requirements of the European Union's Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065) ("DSA").

The Report covers online platforms as designated by the DSA in Article 3, namely, Clip Studio services, and hosting services as designated by the DSA in Articles 3 and 6, namely, Clip Studio Cloud Service.

2. Celsys and Content Moderation

Since before the inception of the DSA, Celsys has established and implemented a system to routinely enforce regulations on illegal or harmful content on Clip Studio Services. In addition to meeting DSA requirements, we are actively working to maintain a secure and healthy online platform with a focus on improving the user experience.

For users established and/or residing in the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA), Celsys has established the terms of use specified in Article 14 of the DSA ("Content Moderation Terms of Use") and the standards and methods for dealing with the posting of illegal or harmful content on each of the Clip Studio Services and Clip Studio Cloud Service.

Main Points in the Content Moderation Terms of Use

  • ●Usage Restrictions

Content restrictions (e.g., delisting content, deletion, suspension of posting capabilities, or account suspension) may be imposed if applicable laws, the Celsy's Terms of Use, or Content Moderation Terms of Use are violated.

  • ●Content Restriction Process

If another user reports illegal content or Celsys becomes aware of it, it will be handled in accordance with the Content Moderation Terms of Service (Annex A). Such decisions will also be based on reviews by Celsys’ staff.

  • ●Internal Complaint Process System

Users who have been subjected to a usage restriction by Celsys may file a complaint within six months of the decision. More information can be found in the Content Moderation Terms of Service (Annex B).

  • ●Anti-misuse Measures

Users who repeatedly share illegal content or submit unsubstantiated reports or complaints may be subject to suspension of service following a warning. Suspension decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis, taking into consideration the severity and intent of the content.

  • ●Protection of Minors

Celsys does not display ads to underage users based on profiling. We also take steps to ensure their privacy, safety, and security.

  • ●Deceptive Patterns Prohibited

The use of “deceptive pattern” or “dark pattern” user interface designs that deceive or manipulate the user, is prohibited.
