The Entrance
The entrance is an open space with a striking vaulted ceiling and glass walls. A motif of the “line” first drawn by creators is incorporated into the glass design, and just past the entrance is a manifestation of the brand's worldview. With the Celsys logo at the center, words representing the brand values spread out across the wall in a visual display.
The Celsys office is located just a 4-minute walk from Tochomae Station across from a park, providing a relaxed atmosphere surrounded by natural light and greenery. The serene setting makes it easy to find a balance between focus and refreshment.
Workspace
One of the office concepts that Celsys places importance upon is openness. The spacious and airy workspace is structured in an open-plan layout across a single floor spanning a walkable distance. The design allows employees to spontaneously interact regardless of their department or position, facilitating day-to-day communication and a flat flow of information.
Work equipment is loaned out by the company, encompassing high-performance monitors, laptops, smartphones, tablets, and more to match everyone’s workstyle. The office is also fully equipped with a photography and filming studio, where staff create photos and videos of Celsys' products and services.
Across another wall in the office is emblazoned the phrase “Enjoy creating more.” This catchphrase for our flagship product “Clip Studio Paint” embodies our attitude of enjoying creation and the drive to create better products.
We continue to update the office design as a flexible environment where everyone can work in their own style. It is not constrained to a fixed form. Instead, it is an evolving environment that adapts to meet employee feedback and changing work styles.
The Cafe
Inside the office is a cafe space named “Spark Cafe.” Here, employees can take a break in a relaxed ambiance surrounded by greenery. This area is used for meetings, seminars, and socializing. Seating is diverse, ranging from individual tables and high stools to spacious sofa seats, allowing for a comfortable stay for a variety of working styles and moods.
The cafe is fitted with free Wi-Fi and power outlets to make it a convenient space for working. It is also fully equipped with coffee machines, drink servers, microwaves, a refrigerator, and more that employees can use freely.
A bookshelf wall is stocked with a wide range of reading material, including O'Reilly and other technical books alongside manga and magazines. The material here is provided for self-study or entertainment, and we also accept book suggestions from employees to support learning and curiosity.
This warm and engaging environment supports interaction and creative work among Celsys employees.
Meeting Spaces
The office emphasizes flexibility to suit varying work styles among employees. The office space has a variety of meeting spaces to suit small and large-scale meetings.
Along the windowside in the workspace area, there are several open meeting spaces set up with no walls or partitions. This design is ideal for casual meetings and allows for a seamless switch from individual work to group work. At the same time, these spaces allow for in-depth discussions using the whiteboards and monitors equipped around the pillars.
Individual booths for one or two persons are also available throughout the workspace. The one-person booths are named after colors, while the two-person booths are from programming languages, delivering functionality with a playful touch. These individual booths were implemented to meet employee needs for remote meetings and as private spaces for solo focus work.
Aside from these meeting spaces, the large multi-screen monitor in the cafe space is also used not for internal and external meetings, as well as for workshops, training, and company social events.
