Webinar event “Japan Online Week”: Digital art industry leaders and creative professionals present workshops and live drawings

From July 21 to 23, 2020, Celsys is partnering with Wacom, Pixiv and SSS by applibot to present Japan Online Week, a 3-day all-digital event organized by Wacom featuring workshops, presentations, and live drawing events by and for creators worldwide.

Japan Online Week is an online event held by Wacom, Pixiv, SSS by applibot and Celsys. Nine webinar sessions, including live-drawing sessions by Sarajean Chung, Mitsuhiro Arita and Laovaan, will be held with the theme of Japanese manga and anime, where viewers can learn about the cultural background, the artists’ creative processes, and specialized techniques.

Celsys presents webinars by creators who have been strongly influenced by Japanese art and culture, and who appeal to an international audience with their activities. During select webinars, participants will be able to win copies of Clip Studio Paint PRO.

Sarajean Chung, also known as TheOneWithBear, is a freelance illustrator who specializes in a wide range of mediums, both traditionally and digitally. Raised in Taiwan and now residing in Canada, Sarajean's art is heavily inspired by eastern cultures, music and dance. Using primarily Clip Studio Paint on a Wacom Cintiq pen display for digital painting, Sarajean has been demoing CSP and Wacom tools at trade shows, seminars and comic/manga conventions. Sarajean regularly live streams her art process on Twitch. She uses Twitch as a main platform to bond and communicate with her audience, as well as provide feedback and critique to aspiring artists. Being on the platform for nearly 5 years, she has built a supportive and welcoming community of artists and fans.
