September 27, 2023, Tokyo – Celsys announces that illustration, comic, webtoon, and animation app Clip Studio Paint is sponsoring the Lakes International Comic Art Festival 2023 (LICAF), an annual comics art festival held in Bowness-on-Windermere (UK) from September 29 to October 1, 2023. Alongside supporting the event, Celsys will also provide 3-month licenses for the higher grade Clip Studio Paint EX to 100 VIP guests, which they can use to create comics.

LICAF is a family-friendly event including live draws, interviews, presentations, workshops, exhibitions, and a Comics Marketplace. The event features more than 100 guests and exhibitors from more than 20 countries, including past UK Comics Laureate and Clip Studio Paint user Dave Gibbons (2000AD, The Originals, Watchmen).
During the three-day event, 100 VIP attendees, such as major funders, special guests, and media, can answer a short questionnaire to be gifted a license for Clip Studio Paint EX (one device, three months), the higher grade of the app with dedicated comic features.
Celsys will continue to sponsor comic and arts events with the aim of supporting comic art creators worldwide.
