October 27, 2023, Tokyo – Celsys announces that illustration, comic, webtoon, and animation app Clip Studio Paint is sponsoring the Concept Art Awards held by the Concept Art Association on October 28 at the Lightbox Expo, an annual digital art festival held in Pasadena, California.

The annual Concept Art Awards recognize excellence in character, creature, vehicle/prop, environment, keyframe, color keys, and visual development. For the 2023 awards, projects created by human artists and released between August 15, 2022, to August 23, 2023, are judged by a panel of industry experts including Clip Studio Paint user and Marvel Animation visual development artist Mel Milton. Past years’ winners include Ghibli Studio’s animation director Hayao Miyazaki, film director Domee Shi (Turning Red), and concept artist Jeremy Hanna (Dune).
Celsys will continue to sponsor arts events with the aim of supporting concept art creators worldwide.
