Tokyo, May 14, 2024 – On May 14, Celsys announced the winners of the 39th International Illustration Contest. This contest, held from March 27 to April 18, received 3,375 entries from all over the world. After careful judging, 15 entrants were selected as prize winners, while 10 entrants were randomly selected to receive free licenses for Clip Studio Paint.

Comment from the winner: I'm really happy! It is a great honor to have been selected as the winner by Celsys. This recognition means a lot to me. Today the music invites me to sing regardless of how cold and rainy the weather or life was. I was inspired by the feeling that summer rains bring me, rain and sun at the same time. I took advantage of this to create a contrast and a narrative. It's the best time for the frog symphony.
There were also many entries for the Timelapse Award, where contestants can submit a timelapse video of their process. Winners of the Timelapse Award were selected by lottery and received an activation code for Clip Studio Paint PRO. Meanwhile, five illustration category entrants were selected at random for the Challenger Prize. The winner of the Illustration Grand Prize receives US$2,000.
Celsys, the developer and distributor of the illustration, comic, webtoon, and animation app Clip Studio Paint, regularly holds illustration contests open worldwide, and will continue to offer more opportunities for creators to showcase their talents.

The theme was conveyed clearly and beautifully in this piece. The musicians seem like they are having a great time as well. The soft style of this art is well-matched with the light-hearted atmosphere, making it easy for the viewer to connect emotionally to this work.

Having the musicians perform on a jellyfish is a very unique idea! It's also interesting how the tentacles of this jellyfish act like earphones for the listeners.
