Celsys released the July 2025 update of the illustration, comic, webtoon, and animation app, Clip Studio Paint on July 29. This update makes everyday drawing tools even more intuitive and brings new features like a reference image panel to the Simple Mode for entry-level users. These changes make the app into a smoother creative environment for artists of all levels, from professionals to beginners. In addition, the new version supports Simplified Chinese on Windows and macOS devices, to bring the app to more creators in their native language. The new version also includes the option to record time working on the canvas as creative hours, as a useful tool to meet artists’ needs for time management and motivation.
This update is available to monthly/annual plan subscribers and update pass holders, as early access to new features that will be available in future major versions.
