CELSYS, Inc., is collaborating with animation and manga producer J-MANGA CREATE Co., Ltd. (“JMC”) and its subsidiary J-MANGA CREATE EGYPT Inc (“JMC EGYPT”) to participate in a new project for students, aiming to train and nurture digital creators in Egypt.
This program is positioned as a digital creator development project with the aim of expanding throughout Egypt by 2026, and eventually spreading throughout the MENA region, especially in Arabic-speaking countries.
This initiative aims to promote mutual understanding and cultural exchange that transcends national and linguistic boundaries through the expressive power and creativity of animation and manga. While learning about content culture originating from Japan, the project will establish an environment where local young people can share their own culture and values through their creative expression, leading to a new international communication forum centered on creativity.
◆Supporting digital art education in Egypt by providing Clip Studio Paint
Celsys will support education for digital creation at local educational institutions by providing its illustration, manga, webtoon, and animation app, Clip Studio Paint, as part of this initiative. JMC and JMC EGYPT will collaborate with local educational institutions, cultural organizations, and publishers to develop curricula, train instructors, and operate workshops, working towards building a sustainable educational model rooted in the region.
By joining this project, Celsys aims to raise awareness and expand the user base of Clip Studio Paint in the MENA region, and strongly support the creation of a new, original creative culture originating from Egypt.
◆Potential in the MENA market
The MENA region targeted by this project has a population of approximately 490 million, half of whom are young people. (*1)
・Rapid market growth: The media and entertainment industry is expected to reach approximately $47 billion by 2026, with a projected compound annual growth rate of approximately 7.4%. (*2)
・ Affinity for Japanese content: Japanese manga and animation are very popular in the region, and there is a demand for digital content. (*3)
