Celsys released the latest December 2025 update of the illustration, comic, webtoon, and animation app, Clip Studio Paint, worldwide on December 2. This is the latest feature update for subscribers(*1). The new features in this update will be included in future perpetual license versions.
Celsys is focusing on retention of subscribing users under the SaaS model by releasing new functions and for subscribers multiple times a year and promptly responding to user needs, in addition to a major version upgrade once a year. The churn rate has remained consistently low, averaging less than 5.0%, thanks to maintaining consistent use through periodic updates(*2).
This update improves the Simple Mode, designed for ease of use on smartphones and tablets often used by young artists. The update adds functions to help existing and entry-level users to enjoy creating illustrations and animations even more. It also includes improvements to essential functions such as faster performance, and better texture expression on 3D models to support users' creations more than ever.
