In August 2023, the workshop held by Wacom, “Draw on a pen tablet! First timers OK! Digital Illustration Class” was held at the event, “Learning Festival 2023 Summer”, a face to face event for elementary school students at Jissen Women’s University.

Sponsored by Mainichi Newspapers and Mainichi Elementary Student Newspapers, the Learning Festival has been held every year since 2014 in the spring and summer. It’s an event that brings together a variety of companies and NPOs that offer classes to elementary school students. In 2023, around 2,000 elementary school students and their guardians participated, with 31 companies and organizations holding workshops and classes.
Many elementary school students attended the Wacom workshop, and using the Wacom One Creative pen display and Celsys’ Clip Studio Paint, tools that even professional illustrators, comic artists, and creators use, they learned the basic knowledge of digital illustration and tried their hand at drawing.

Wacom launched a software bundle campaign in October 2019, offering a Clip Studio Paint PRO 12-month license with new purchases of the Wacom Cintiq 16 and the Wacom Cintiq 22.
